Sharon Hodgson was appointed Dean of Ivey Business School in May 2019. She is also an active Board member on IGM Financial Inc. (IGM:TSE) and for Toromont Industries (TIH:TSX); and Pelmorex Corp.
Prior to Ivey, Sharon held senior leadership roles with some of the world’s largest professional services firms, including IBM, PwC, and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). With these organizations, she has over 30 years of experience in driving large scale change programs across industries and geographies.
Her last role before academia was with IBM where she led the Artificial Intelligence, Watson™, and Advanced Analytics for Global Business Services out of New York. With IBM, Sharon has also served as General Manager of the Consulting Business for IBM’s Growth Market Units (BRICS and 135 surrounding countries), out of Shanghai, and as the General Manager for the Canadian Consulting Business, out of Toronto.
In a client capacity, Sharon has served as lead partner for several of the largest global enterprise-level business transformations, including Nestlé, Merck, Mead Johnson, and FMC Corporation.
Throughout her career, she has been known for maximizing the potential of her leaders and teams, and maximizing the value delivered to clients.
Sharon holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
